LS 25 Sunflower 5035 Cultivator v1.0.0.0
Here is a really nice, 30ish foot wide Sunflower 5035 cultivator. I don’t remember where I got this mod from, but the original description said it was a beta test. That does explain some issues it had, but I love this thing, so I made a little project out of getting it right. Or, at least as right as I’m capable of getting it.
Some things I did to it:
The AI worker function did not work right at all. The AI would just drop it in the ground at the edge of the field and drag it around. It would also get stuck just reversing in a circle. All of that is fixed and the AI works as well as Giant’s AI can. CoursePlay does work better with it, but the vanilla AI will get the fields done without missing anything now, and raises and lowers the tool as it is supposed to.
Sunflower says this model needs 130-180hp to pull. I set this one up so that 140 hp will pull it well. It is probably more than a 120hp would want. I pull it with a JD4440 easily in rolling hills. I doubt 140hp would pull it well in eastern Washington though.
I also added workmodes so that this tool can natively switch between normal cultivate and shallow cultivate. I also added a roller function to the harrows on the back that enables when it is in shallow cultivate mode and gives seed bed finish. So now you can normal cultivate your crop stubble, and then shallow cultivate in your cover crop and seed bed prep in one pass.
The one thing I cannot figure out how to fix is the lowering speed. It lowers into the ground at about half the speed of smell and I cannot get it to change. If somebody can, then more power to you.
