Bundeswehr Boxer – Technical and Operational Overview
The GTK Boxer is a highly advanced 8×8 armored fighting vehicle used by the German Bundeswehr. It is designed around a modular architecture that allows rapid swapping of mission modules, giving the vehicle exceptional flexibility across different operational roles. The Boxer serves as a core vehicle for Germany’s medium forces. Its modular design enables it to perform a wide range of missions, including troop transport, command and control, medical evacuation, engineering support, reconnaissance, and heavy weapon carriage. The vehicle has been deployed in international missions, demonstrating high reliability and strong protection against mines, IEDs, and ballistic threats.
